Genocide: The Power of Aesthetics
Why art? Why aesthetics? The Genocide Statistics and Data organization presents evidence for the use of aesthetics in creating genocidal, politicidal, and democricidal leaning propaganda. How can art save us? How can aesthetics? Maybe the first step is to point out how, on the side of "evil" cidal, or killing, programs, aesthetics, and propaganda are to say the very least not neutral and intertwined. Of course the opposite, on the side of binary "good" is iatric, or healing, programs, aesthetics, and propaganda is also intertwined. How interchangeable are killing and healing? How much does it depend on who we are? Ethnically? Politically? Religiously?
